Aik Cheong - Kopi O

Despite what's stated in the ingredients, this coffee doesn't taste like it has sugar at all! So I shall label it both as kopiO (kosong) and kopiO (sugar).

A very strong/gao coffee. Slightly sour-ish when I added some sugar. Could be my sugar because stuff always taste sour when I add this sugar. hmmm... time to change sugar?

Aik Cheong - Kopi O (2in1 Coffee + Sugar)

Noted a discrepancy in instructions on the individual sachet and the overall bag: The individual sachets state to add 120ml of boiling water while the overall bag says 180ml. I tried using 180ml as I like to have a bigger cup of coffee. The coffee was still thick and strong, comparable to its other kopiO. Very aromatic. Sweet smooth and easy to drink. Nice.

Fairprice - 2in1 Kopi O Black Coffee Bags

I added only hot water (instead of boiling water) as instructed by the label on its packet and steeped for 3 minutes. Coffee was watery. I shall try one with boiling water the next time.

Gold Kili - 2in1 Kopi O (Premium Coffee Mixture Bag with 35% Less Sugar Added)

Since I don't like very sweet stuff, I like this version more than Gold Kili's original kopiO. This is smooth, aromatic and easy to down. Nice~

Gold Kili - 2in1 Kopi O (Premium Coffee Mixture Bag with sugar added, Rich Aroma)

I love the smell of coffee that rises to my nose as I pour boiling water into my cup. Rich aroma. The sweetness of the coffee covers the bitter taste of coffee, if any. Flavourful till the end.

Gold Roast - KopiO (Low Sugar, Stronger Coffee)

Strong and slightly bitter.

Owl - Kopi-O (with sugar added)

Thick strong. What's the difference between this and the hainan style kopi-o from owl?

Owl - Hainan Style Kopi-O (with sugar added)

Very thick and strong. It was easy to drink but I wasn't particularly aware of any sugary taste. Er.. do you know what I mean? Sometimes you can just taste there's sugar in there but other times the stuff may be sweet but you don't pay much attention to the sugar.

Owl - Traditional Coffee Mixture

Again, even though this coffee has some sugar, it's actually very minimal. So, I label this as both kopiO(kosong) and kopiO(sugar). And, I guess I'm just not a fan of instant kopi-O kosong. Having just coffee tests the quality of the coffee to the max.

If you are a coffee lover like me and you want to join in the craze of tasting all these coffees, I'd be glad to share some loose sachets for a nominal fees of perhaps S$3.50 for 5 sachets of different coffee. It's a reasonable amount to do ATM/bank transfer and also mail to you. You also benefit 'cos you spend just S$3.50 to try 5 different coffee instead of like $25 if you buy 5 big packs of 5 different coffees.
